Hoy nuestra bella Punta Arenas, la capital de la región de Magallanes, está de fiesta. La ciudad mas importante de la Patagonia fue fundada el 18 de Diciembre de 1848, es decir, hoy celebra 172 años de vida. La “Perla del Estrecho”, que se estableció antaño junto al Río del Carbón, y localizada a 53°09’45″S 70°54’29″O, sobre la península de Brunswick, ha sido denominada la Capital de la Patagonia.
